Design and eco-comfortable technology are the subjects of the presentation (standard)3?relax by Panasonic Electric Works Co., Ltd. at Salone del Mobile 2009. The special installation by Martino Berghinz conceived for this occasion has been thought for a space combining design and technology through the projects by Naoto Fukasawa and Patricia Urquiola, who confirm their important collaboration with the Japanese conglomerate.
The collection of lamps designed by Naoto Fukasawa (Sphere, Dome and Bucket) is the symbol of his unmistakable project style: the synthesis between spirituality and concreteness, pure clean lines permeated by a typically Japanese harmony. Essential and pure, the lighting creates an extremely natural energy-saving illumination with low environmental impact.
Patricia Urquiola reinterprets the New concept chair in a new ergonomic seat by combining highly technological performance features with the aesthetics and functionality of the upholstered material for a rich ‘dress’ modelled on the lines of a lightened structure, for a personalised comfort.
The overall space design involves the visitor in a visual experience with strong emotional impact, in which the formal neatness and rationality typical of Japanese culture are reworked with a Western twist. A fluid and harmonious space defined by sober lines and pure design applied to high technology, offering the visitor a highly harmonious experience.
