Cassina presents its 2020 Collection and autumn novelties with a conscious approach to the home.
The Cassina Milan Showroom presents the company’s holistic approach to the home through a series of apartments recreated under the artistic direction of Patricia Urquiola. These complete living, dining, bedroom and outdoor settings bring together the 2020 novelties while highlighting the important progress in the quest to develop products with new materials, with a specific focus on sustainability and well-being, thanks to the debut of Cassina LAB, the collaboration between the Cassina Research and Development Centre and Poli.design at the Milan Polytechnic.
The first results include a 100% recycled fibre, made from PET mainly recovered from the sea, that has been incorporated in the cushion padding of all the new 2020 sofas.
Cassina also extends this approach to new areas of the home: ‘The Cassina Perspective at Night’ is a new collection for the bedroom that includes pieces by Rodolfo Dordoni and Patricia Urquiola that boast wellness features such as sound absorption and air purification. The company’s proposal for the bedroom is enhanced by new furnishing accessories by Neri&Hu and completed with classics from the Cassina collections.
New proposals for the living and dining areas include iconic reissues that give value to the company’s heritage, including the introduction of Ico Parisi and Giacomo Balla as new masters, while Patricia Urquiola expands the outdoor collection with Trampoline.
These warm and welcoming home settings are all completed with a selection of accessories including a curtain collection developed in collaboration with Dedar, Le Corbusier inspired tableware produced by Ginori 1735 and a duo of vases designed by Bethan Laura Wood and produced by Venini.
