Brera Design District
The first and most important design district in Italy, the centre of Milan's creative, commercial and cultural development.
Fuorisalone is back in 2021 with a 6-month long formula, dedicated to design and with Milan always in the spotlight. In continuity with the first edition of Fuorisalone Digital 2020, Brera Design District is renewed and relaunches the platform from April to September 2021. Online conversations and digital events, dedicated to the world of design and project culture, will be the setting for in-person moments in September (from 4 to 10), in conjunction with the Salone del Mobile in Milan.
Brera Design District attracts the largest number of events and is the most visited and most representative district of the Fuorisalone. Born with the 2010 edition, the Brera Design Week has been able to increase over the years the number and quality of the events it hosts, going from 42 in the first edition to 210 in the last one, working with 497 exhibitors for an estimated 400,000 visitors during the 7-day event. Today, for many, Fuorisalone means Brera and Brera Design Week is the reference platform, open to collaboration with companies and designers thanks to dedicated project formats.
Discover the new Brera Experience. The best way to discover and get to know the district's places and secrets.
Brera Design District also features a selection of the best commercial activities, i.e. those that best represent the identity of this historic district of Milan between design, lifestyle, food, art and culture. As a result of a selection curated by Studiolabo, this constantly updated mapping aims to provide an authentic narrative to discover the realities, faces and stories that daily cross, live and characterise the Brera Design District. Brera Experience is a container designed to let people live and share the atmosphere of the district, always accessible from their own device, 365 days a year.
The Brera Experience project launched in 2020, which has seen the mapping and promotion of the district's various commercial realities, was made possible thanks to the contribution of the City of Milan in the context of the promotion of the D.U.C. Brera Urban Trade District.
Brera Design District is a project conceived and curated by Studiolabo. It was launched in 2009 as a territorial marketing operation and in just a few years has become an internationally recognised brand. Brera Design District operates on the territory by developing networking, creating formats and events and offering consultancy to companies and professionals. Over the years it has been able to consolidate its role thanks to a strategy aimed at promoting the district and providing direct support to companies, creating dedicated services and generating relationships, thus defining a widespread and organised network of contacts. At the same time, by giving voice to the stories of the people who live in the district, Brera Design District gives a unique image of the district, offering an immersive experience for tourists and an increasingly widespread public.
The Brera Design District universe now includes two events: the Brera Design Week and the Brera Design Days, a consultancy platform, a service dedicated to locations with Brera Location and a showroom dedicated to curatorial projects and collaboration with companies, the Brera Design Apartment.
