The modular sofa Strips is a seat system, designed at the end of the 60s, that revolutionizes the furniture market, becoming an iconic symbol and an “evergreen”.Thanks to its modernity, it perfectly adapts to any living and hospitality spaces.

Graduated at Politecnico in Milan in 1951, she started her professional independent activity in 1963, handling both architecture and design.

Known for her many realizations, both in terms of furniture and architecture, she has certainly left an empty space with her death on September, 9th 2020.

Winner of the Compasso d'Oro in 1979 with model Strips, she designed for arflex products that will make the history of Italian design, exhibited in the most important museums in the world, including the Triennale di Milano.

Her best known pieces for arflex are Strips, which revolutionized the way of living the sofa, breaking away from traditions, to be treated like sleeping bags to slip into or soft jackets to wear; Ben Ben, who takes up the model Bengodi designed in 1974, a choice of arflex sure that it would have been loved, today as at that time; Bobo, the first monobloc polyurethane seat without structure; Serpentone, which takes on snaking and unlimited shapes; and Botolo, a new design style, available in the high version as a dining chair, or in the low version, a way of living and sitting on the ground, at that time modern, " the living at a low level".
