Cohabitation with natural technology in indoor spaces

KUSHIM CARING DESIGN is the effective answer to fighting pathogens by combining technology and design in your home.

Throughout the centuries architecture and design have always modified our living spaces according to the presence of microbes such as bacteria, parasites and viruses. Tuberculosis, for instance, encouraged the transition between Art Deco and a minimalist style. The KUSHIM CARING DESIGN project draws inspiration from this fundamental need to adapt. It offers a revolutionary way of inhabiting spaces and making our living environments safer, thanks to the latest and most innovative scientific and technological research. This new start-up was conceived by architect Natasha Calandrino Van Kleef, thermo-technician Riccardo Cavozzi, and designer Silvia Bignami. Based in Milan, this creative team has synergised its technological skills and collective foresight to revolutionize the way we experience and safely inhabit spaces.

KUSHIM CARING DESIGN is a nature-based system, combining Uv-C lamps and Photo Catalytic Oxidation technologies for a new interpretation of processes and furniture components that take into account the coexistence of humans with pathogens (bacteria, parasites and viruses) in confined environments. In response to the global pandemic, two brand new products have been developed: SanLight and SanShoe.
