The Wild Odyssey

Milan fashion district hosts Richard Orlinski's iconic Wild Kong thanks to Hublot and Pisa 1940
Digital event

Until April 21st, on the occasion of Milan Design Week, the design capital city of Milan is hosting a monumental installation by the world's best-selling contemporary French artist Richard Orlinski in the heart of the fashion quadrilateral, at 7 Via Verri.
Majestic and accessible to all. An iconic 180 cm tall Wild Kong in vibrant Blue Mick is indeed positioned in front of the Hublot Milano - Pisa 1940 boutique, attracting the attention of Milanese and tourists alike. An animal that shows itself invincible, with its mouth wide open, through which the artist - known for his pop spirit and hyper-colored style - invites us to reflect on how this ferocious beast is also capable of tenderness, creating an allegory between gorilla and man.
Via Verri, the street of Time, takes center stage during Design Week 2024, merging art, design and watchmaking.
The installation - which is an integral part of "The Wild Odyssey," the solo exhibition dedicated to the artist organized by the Deodato Arte gallery (currently underway and open until April 20, at Via Nerino 1) - celebrates Richard Orlinski's partnership with the Swiss luxury watch brand Hublot, of which he is an Ambassador. It is a long-standing partnership, now spanning eight years, during which the artist has created uniquely designed timepieces with his famous facets, sought after by watch collectors and art collectors alike. The dialogue between watches and art continues inside the Hublot Milano - Pisa 1940 boutique, where customers will be able to admire other works by the artist up close and continue the journey into the fierce bestiary imagined by Richard Orlinski.
