Materia esotica
The Lualdi space facing the street serves as an intriguing boundary between the city's dynamic life and the showroom that awaits within the courtyard. Through its glass façade, a subtle visual dialogue emerges between the interior and exterior, between fleeting glances and curious discovery, transforming this compressed space into a fascinating space-time portal.
MATERIA ESOTICA is the work by artist Patrick Tuttofuoco, set to occupy these spaces starting April 8. The piece is dedicated to the relationship between our bodies, gazes, and the unexpected wonder of encounters. In science, exotic matter consists of ephemeral particles that decay within an extremely short time span, yet possess the ability to generate a surplus of energy that alters and redefines their state. This element of unpredictability is what makes human nature unique compared to any machine, shaping the distinction inherent in every act of creation.
Tuttofuoco’s artwork will give density and uniqueness to the concept of the threshold, amplifying the relationship between interior and exterior and materializing it in a gaze of wonder—perhaps astonishment or captivation—capable of expanding a fleeting moment into a continuum of emotions, turning space into something to be observed and inhabited.
