Schotten & Hansen, creator of the finest-quality regenerable wooden surfaces, partners with German designer Bodo Sperlein for MENU a curated installation of design pieces united by a shared dedication to craftsmanship and materiality.
As the primary partner, Schotten & Hansen provides a bespoke wood-panelled wall system in oak veneer that enhances the feeling of intimacy and cohesion throughout the exhibition. The soft refined nature of the wood panels reflects the overarching theme of balance and harmony.
As part of MENU, Schotten & Hansen launches Ridgeline, a new bespoke magnetic-compatible wallcovering system. Inspired by the ridgeline of the Bavarian Alps, Ridgeline also draws from the raw beauty of split wood and the deep brown, time-worn hues of bog oak. Its unique textured surface embraces natural irregularities, paying homage to the character of weathered timber and aged wood surfaces. Using a special technique, it creates a three-dimensional structure that continuously reveals new facets depending on the light, engaging all the senses.
