ELLE DECOR MATERIAL HOME

The exhibition - installation by Elle Decor Italia dedicated to the discovery of the essence of matter in all its forms, through an immersive and sensorial journey.

During the Salone del Mobile, from 15 to 21 April, the traditional event curated by Elle Decor Italia will return to the historic Palazzo Bovara: this year’s title is ‘Material Home’. The exhibition is the result of a collaboration between three designers: Studio Elisa Ossino (interior and exhibition design), Rossi Bianchi Lighting Design (lighting design) and Studio Antonio Perazzi (landscape design). This virtuous synergy led to the creation of a synaesthetic and sensory journey, guiding visitors through spaces that investigate matter in all its forms. ‘Material Home’ comprises seven different rooms, each presenting variations on the theme, preceded by a large area dedicated to the materials library, i.e. the Alchemy Room. It’s an experiential space that sets the tone of the exhibit and prepares visitors for the following rooms, each named after a specific material or feature: Powders, Surfaces, Marble in Movies, Reflections, Soft, Organic and Hues. At the same time, light plays a fundamental role in enhancing the beauty and complexity of the material itself, underscoring its nuances and characteristics. The greenery, curated by landscape architect Antonio Perazzi, who has conceived the garden as a place in which to become part of a newly discovered natural network, also plays a crucial role. The relationship with matter is emphasised by the selection of plants featuring foliage with a powerful tactile and visual impact, thus creating an ideal ‘tree embrace’. ‘Material home’ involves more than 50 companies that have supported this Elle Decor Italia’s project to constantly promote design culture.
