The "Little library about woods" and the new Fiemme floors

Fiemme Tremila interprets the theme of the FuoriSalone 2024, “Materia Natura” (Natural Matter) by presenting new biocompatible essences and a project dedicated to the visitors of the Fiemme Store in Milan.

With the exhibition "NATURAl MATERIAl. Luci di Fiemme and the Little Library about Woods," the Trentino-based company, producinng in natural wood floors, coverings, and furnishings since 1993, expands the Luci di Fiemme collection with new essences.

Thermowood ash, thanks to the thermo-treatment process, gains greater strength and expresses chromatic variations illuminated by warm or cool shades depending on the modulation of pigments and raw earth.

Like all products from Fiemme Tremila, the new essences also come from certified forests and, thanks to the BioPlus® treatment, are healthy and capable of improving indoor air quality.

To narrate the strong and elegant nature of ash, along with many other stories rooted in the forest, Fiemme Tremila has decided to set up the "Little Library about Woods" inside the Milan showroom, curated by Anna Quinz, a creative director who has been engaged for years in the analysis of mountain ecosystems and the reinterpretation of alpine imagery.

The project will offer Design Week visitors a selection of readings, essays, novels, and illustrated books suitable for curious minds of all ages. Also stimulating thought will be some imaginary books with covers designed by Studio Babai, a company specialized in graphic design and creative consulting, using reclaimed wood from the company. The titles of these fantasy volumes will be the beginnings of new stories that Fiemme Tremila will gradually tell online.
