MILANO KIDS DESIGN WEEK is a digital platform and palimpsest of events and meetings spread throughout the city before, during and after April's Design Week to signal the industry's most qualified and innovative experiences.

The historic, global Milan Design Week generates a focus on Kids & Design. At the center, the service-product system revolving around children and all caregivers.

We think:

Better experiences in childhood create better adults.
Better adults will create better worlds.

MKDW will take place in Milan between April 7 and 13, with the theme PLAY CONNEXIONS.

PLAY CONNEXIONS

The importance of play in creating neuronal connections with reality and people.

Play ConneXions grows from an awareness of the value of play as an enjoyable facilitator of human interactions and relationships.

Play ConneXions is the theme that will lead to discover and develop intergenerational connections between children and babies, children and adults, different cultures and genders, through inclusive play.

PLAYROOMS

In addition to the three classic MKDW Paths, this year's new Path is that of the PlayRooms, spaces dedicated to play and creativity for children and families, spread throughout Milan.

At the Chinese Cultural Centre, the "Culture e Colori" workshop is back, dedicated to discovering emotions through personalised color palettes. But that's not all: new workshops will enrich the program at the Centre, ready to surprise and involve children in unique experiences. 

The other PlayRooms will also offer a calendar full of initiatives, all to be discovered.

AUCTION: DESIGN FOR SAVE THE CHILDREN

Many of us think that it is simply useful and right, in this particular world situation, to make a real contribution to those who work, very well, to protect children, in Italy and around the world.

For this reason, MKDW is organising an online auction for Save the Children on the platform www.charitystars.com.

An auction of objects, furnishings and accessories, but also of services such as courses, internships, projects or consultancy, consistent with the world of design and quantified in the starting auction value.
