DOPIR
Touch Design, Feel the Space
DOPIR — Touching Material, Space and Form
Presented within the framework of Milan Design Week 2026, DOPIR is a collective Bulgarian design project that brings together designers, an artist, an architect and a photographer in a shared exploration of material, space and perception.
Set within a dedicated exhibition environment, the project invites visitors to move beyond observation and enter a tactile and immersive experience, where touch becomes the primary language of interaction. Through wood, metal, resin and spatial compositions, each work reveals design as an evolving process—one that connects body and object, function and emotion. This approach reflects a broader tendency within contemporary design to engage the senses and create meaningful, experiential connections between people and objects.
DOPIR unfolds as a living environment where objects, artworks and visitors coexist. Each piece encourages proximity and participation, transforming the audience into an active presence within the space. The works of Kaloyan Vasilev, Nikyoto, Mariela Ganova, Marta Moskov, Atanas Zgurev, Tzvetan Petkov, Gabriel Best, LIGNA x OURHOOD, Room Studio, Renatta and Solar Punk Studio are presented as part of a unified spatial narrative.
Alongside the exhibition, visitors are invited to meet the designers and engage in direct dialogue, while the presented pieces are explored in detail—revealing the ideas, processes and material choices behind each work.
More than an exhibition, DOPIR becomes a platform for exchange, highlighting the vitality of independent Bulgarian design and fostering connections on an international stage.
