Founded in 1977 in Umbria, CIAM is an internationally recognized leader in professional refrigeration and furnishing for the HO.RE.CA. sector.
For over forty years, the company has been developing bespoke solutions that integrate design, sustainability, and technological innovation, standing out in the contract sector for its ability to manage complex, highly customized projects.

CIAM’s vision is rooted in the concept of an “archipelago of production”: a system in which each production area develops its own distinct identity while remaining in constant dialogue with the others. Inspired by the natural world, this approach brings together cutting-edge technologies, craftsmanship, design culture, and a passion for beauty, resulting in products conceived to respond to diverse contexts and needs. CIAM operates from a 23,000-square-meter production hub in Petrignano d’Assisi, complemented by a corporate museum and a multifunctional lounge — a space designed for meeting, exploration, and sharing the company’s philosophy and approach.

The CIAM Milan Showroom, inaugurated in 2024 and designed by Fabrizio Milesi, is conceived as a laboratory dedicated to tailor-made solutions and as a platform for interaction among key industry players. A dynamic space hosting events, presentations, and workshops, it serves as a place to explore new directions in design and development, with a strong focus on highly customized solutions.

On the occasion of Milan Design Week 2026, CIAM unveils FreeGo°, the new mobile refrigerated display designed by Marc Sadler, introducing the concept of nomadism into the world of professional refrigeration.
A project that frees refrigeration from its traditional constraints, proposing a new idea of autonomy, movement, and flexibility: Unplugged.

Inside the CIAM showroom on Via Pastrengo 12, in the heart of the Isola district, UNTETHERED takes shape — an architectural installation that translates the vision behind FreeGo° into space. Under the creative direction of Fabrizio Milesi, the environment becomes an immersive journey where mobility, light, and matter interact to narrate a new way of conceiving refrigeration in contemporary design.

FreeGo° is more than a product; it is a vision. A refrigerated display defined by a professional, solid, and reliable structure, equipped with an integrated mobility system — large exposed wheels and structural handles — which enhances its nomadic character and independence, redefining the identity of professional refrigeration.

Active across the Ho.Re.Ca., luxury, hospitality, retail, and fashion sectors, CIAM develops bespoke projects in Europe, the Middle East, and the United States.
