Brands Galleria Rossella Colombari

Galleria Rossella Colombari, located in Milan, is one of the most prestigious international galleries with over 40 years of experience. Rossella Colombari, born in Turin into a historical family of antique dealers, has promoted the importance of Italian twentieth century design.

From her intense bond with her grandfather and father, she had the privilege of growing up surrounded in a world of antiquity, developing a wide-ranging cultural formation. In the early 1980s, she founded her first gallery in Turin together with her sister Paola, focusing on twentieth-century design, playing an essential role in the development of modern collecting.

In the early years, she devoted herself to researching and promoting the work of Carlo Mollino. Today, thanks to the organization of exhibitions and auctions, Mollino is among the first architects of the twentieth century that are most highly rated on the international market. In 2005 the Rossella Colombari Gallery published the book “Carlo Mollino. Catalog of furniture ", a real technical biography of the architect and his works.

In 1991, the Gallery moved to Milan, concentrating on masterpieces by designers such as: Giò Ponti, Osvaldo Borsani, Ico Parisi, Franco Albini, Fontana Arte, Joe Colombo, Ettore Sottsass, and Alessandro Mendini.

The Gallery participates in the most important international fairs. From the Monte Carlo Biennale in 1983, up to Design Basel, Design Miami, PAD London, PAD Paris, TEFAF Maastricht, and Salon NY. Each time with stands structured with exclusive pieces, he continues his journey as a cultural mediator by offering collectors and the public a real re-contextualization of the historical element.

Being part of the international circuits, the Gallery collaborates with institutions around the world, including the Victoria & Albert Museum and the Musèè d'Orsay.

Rossella Colombari is currently a CTU (Technical Consultant) for the court of Milan and works as a consultant and expert for private, public and family office collections, including the ad hoc organization of evaluations and auctions for the economic valorisation of the works.
