Designers CAN RAN

After several collaborations in architectural studios in London, Paris and Barcelona, Catarina and Rita Almada Negreiros returned to Lisbon in 2000, where they founded the Ateliers de Santa Catarina, a creative centre that promotes interdisciplinary work between architects, artists and designers. The partnership between the two architects - CAN RAN arquitectura – was founded in 2002, and the architectural renovation proposals also stand out for the use of the tile, as a transforming element of the spaces in which it is inserted.
