Designer Richard Hutten

Richard works with a team of experts work in the fields of interior- and industrial design. The studio creates contemporary, playful, iconic designs, based on the principles of the Circular Economy.

 

Work is part of the permanent collection of over 50 museums around the world, making Hutten arguably the most collected living designer. To mention a few: MoMA New York, Vitra Museum Weil am Rhein, Victoria & Albert Museum London, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, Museum Boijmans van Beuningen Rotterdam, MoMA San Francisco, Chicago Art Institute, Design Museum London, Design Museum Gent, Design Museum Copenhagen.

 

The studio won numerous awards, including the Red Dot award and The Great Indoors Award.

Richard Hutten is also the Art Director of Gispen and Carpet Sign.

He was the guest of honor at the Lotz Design week, SZIDF Shenzhen, and 100% design Shanghai, Prague Design Week, Helsinki Design Week, among others. He has taught and lectured around the globe, including in Rotterdam, Tokyo, Kobe, Shanghai, London, Paris, Berlin, Reykjavik, Dubai, New York.

Hutten is frequently asked as a jury member for various awards, such as The Great Indoors Award, LAI award, ARC award, Elle Decoration award, Red Dot Award, and SZIDF award.

He has lectured around the globe.
