ART CRIMES, exhibition of the master of surreal pop Angelo Accardi
"ART CRIMES", the exhibition by Angelo Accardi proposed in the Sala del Foro Romano of the Veneranda Biblioteca Ambrosiana, represents a visual investigation into intellectual theft in art.
Every artist draws from the past to transform it into new visions, from Leonardo Da Vinci to Duchamp, from Picasso to Bacon, inspiration, homage and appropriation intertwine without borders. The creative gesture becomes a game of subtraction and reinvention, in which each work is born from another, regenerating itself over time.
Between quotations and rereadings, the exhibition stages a continuous dialogue between eras and languages, questioning the very meaning of creating.
Art Crimes can be visited from 3 to 28 April 2025, at the Veneranda Biblioteca Ambrosiana (entrance from Piazza San Sepolcro).
