Hypercode by Roberto Sironi
During Milan Design Week 2025, cc-tapis presents its first collaborationwith Italian designer Roberto Sironi, a collection of 4 handwovenrugs in a site-specific installation.
Mythological symbols, ancient carvings, enigmatic glyphs, andurban graffiti merge on the surface of the rug, giving life to Hypercode—a textile composition that celebrates humanity’sinnate need to leave a mark over time, to communicate acrossspace and eras.
Starting from the idea of the sign as a universal language, Roberto Sironi reinterprets apparent chaos into a new aestheticform, where symbols, writings, and ancient and contemporarycodes coexist and interact.
While aesthetically Hypercode references the contemporaryworld, its essence remains deeply rooted in tradition. The rugbecomes a narrative artifact where warp and weft intertwine totell the stories of peoples, cultures, and individuals.
