Itinerary 2026

Isola Design Festival 2026

The tenth edition of Isola Design Festival, organized by Isola Design Group, the Milan- and Dubai-based platform supporting independent designers worldwide, will take place from 20 to 26 April 2026 during Milan Design Week. Titled “TEN: The Evolving Now”, the festival celebrates a decade of growth from a local initiative into one of the leading districts of the design week and a global digital platform connecting designers, studios and creative communities.

Over the past ten years, Isola has evolved into an international ecosystem bringing together different geographies, disciplines and generations of designers. Some participants who first joined as emerging talents now return as established voices, while others are participating for the first time, contributing to the dynamic and independent network that defines the festival today. This anniversary edition reconnects strongly with the neighborhood where it all began, reopening historic venues while activating new spaces across the district.

The heart of the festival will remain in the Isola neighborhood, with Fabbrica Sassetti (via Filippo Sassetti 31) reopening to the public as one of the main venues of the 2026 edition. Alongside this location, a series of curated exhibitions and initiatives will bring to life other key sites across the district, including Fondazione CatellaStecca3, and Zona K.

The program features both established formats and new curatorial projects, including Isola Design GalleryIsola Design Awards Winners’ ShowcaseNo Space for WasteRasa – The Indian CollectiveRising TalentsThe Dutch AtelierArchivi FuturiShape of Belonging, and a collective exhibition by Ithra, together with a special installation by .mdd exploring contemporary workspace design. These exhibitions highlight emerging designers, material research and new narratives shaping the future of design.

The 2026 edition marks both new collaborations and the strengthening of existing partnerships within the festival’s ecosystem. Continuing previous projects, Designtech will present the Urban Collective Project, a series of dispersed pavilions across the neighborhood that invite reflection on how we inhabit and shape urban space through digital fabrication and new collaborative production models. Among the newcomers, Materially will present The New State of Materials at Stecca3, a curated exhibition of innovative material solutions, accompanied by talks and panel discussions offering professionals insight into emerging trends in material culture. Other long-standing and recent collaborations will further enrich the program and strengthen the festival’s creative network.

Throughout the week, the entire Isola neighborhood will come alive with multiple locations, activities, and events, offering visitors a dynamic and immersive experience across the district.
