Architecture to Couture: Jaipur Rugs' Milan Showcase Weaves Stories of Innovation, Fashion and Harmony.
Jaipur Rugs, the largest manufacturer of handmade rugs and pioneer of artisan carpet making in India, presents three new collections at Milano Design Week 2024. Highlighting our Indo-Italian connection via our Milan boutique at Piazza Castello, the three collaborations with an all-Italian lineup of studios share a common thread in their design-forward take on traditional weaving techniques.
Presenting the Façade, in collaboration with AMDL Circle “studio founded by Michele De Lucchi”, a project that explores new expressive and functional possibilities of the carpet.
The Zig Zag collection, designed by the architecture studio DAAA Haus, pays tribute to contemporary abstract art.
Finally, the Couture Collection, a new relationship with the Chanel-owned yarn atelier Vimar 1991, draws inspiration from haute couture fabrics.
