Plan C, the luxury brand established and designed by Carolina Castiglioni, is unveiling two new additions to its Folded bag range with a special project presented during Milan Design Week.

In conjunction with the Salone del Mobile design fair, Plan C is dressing the windows of luxury shopping mecca Banner, in the heart of Milan, with an exclusive installation developed in collaboration with Italian artist Maria Chiara Venturini.

The Folded bags, including the Mini style, as well as the new Camera and Tote variations, - both elegant and versatile designs crafted from a single piece of leather that is carefully folded to create the distinctive structures, - are protagonists of the artistic project on show on Via Sant’Andrea, running from April 13th – 22nd.

Named “Unexpected Guest”, the installation mixes videos with physical objects, including the Folded bags, recreating real-life scenes set in spaces reproducing two rooms of Carolina’s house in Milan. The videos, filmed by Venturini, evoke a mysterious guest that enters Carolina’s apartment and deep dive into her own world by examining the objects on display inside the flat.

“As we grow up we tend to fall victim to silent everyday boredom. We walk down the street with our heads bowed, on the asphalt or on a screen, with a very specific destination in mind: the end of the day in an adult world. ‘Unexpected Guest’ was created to break this colorless pattern by ‘deceiving’ passers-by, in real and virtual life, to pause and be invaded by a newfound sense of curiosity,” explains Venturini, who, for the entire duration of the project, will offer live performances within the installation at Banner.

“In keeping with the DNA of the brand, I’m happy to launch the new Camera and Tote styles during Milan Design Week in partnership with Banner, with the artistic project developed by Maria Chiara,” comments Carolina Castiglioni, “I think this installations combines three of my biggest passions, - fashion, art and design, - offering something that will capture people’s attention and raise a smile.” 

For their launch, Plan C’s new Camera and Tote Folded bags will be exclusive available at Banner and at the brand’s official online store.
