The Shape of Silence
The installation is conceived as a refuge within the city.
In a week defined by intensity and overstimulation, we propose a space that invites a slower rhythm. From the outside, it appears as a solid volume — a black cube clad in metal sheet, establishing a clear boundary against its surroundings. Crossing that threshold transforms the experience. The interior, enveloped in black curtains, absorbs visual noise and creates an atmosphere of introspection where silence prevails and form becomes the primary language.
Silence takes shape through paper floral compositions associated with the Still and Frame collections, as well as through ceramic volumes of a more artistic nature that reinterpret their textures through three-dimensional expression. Texture does not disappear; rather, it recedes. Form gives it meaning, making it perceptible through contemplation.
The journey is conceived as a transition: from exterior to interior, from acceleration to pause. Light is carefully modulated, sound softened, and material rediscovered through focused attention. Ultimately, it is a temporary architecture that invites one to inhabit silence amid the constant movement of Milan.
