IMAGINE SPACES

IMAGINE SPACES - Being a Project between Vision and Space

On the occasion of Fuorisalone 2026, Déco presents IMAGINE SPACESBeing a Project Between Vision and Space at its Décoroom showroom, located at Via Goito 3 in Brera, Milan. This exhibition and storytelling experience interprets the theme “Being a Project” through design understood as process, presence, and relationship.

IMAGINE SPACES was created from the desire to observe the project from two complementary perspectives: the moment when the project does not yet exist but begins to take shape as intuition and vision, and the moment when the project becomes a concrete, livable, and experiential space. In both cases, the common thread is presence—the conscious presence of the individual and the creative act that guides every choice.

The project presents design not as a static result, but as an ongoing process capable of moving through thought, material, and space. It is a fluid and circular journey in which imagination and reality alternate and influence one another, transforming design into experience, relationship, and shared creation.

IMAGINE YOUR PROJECT

IMAGINE represents the original moment of creation: the space of ideas, vision, and conscious choice. It is here that design is born as thought and as a relationship among materials, sensations, and possibilities.
In this phase, visitors are actively involved in a creative exploration that includes discovering materials, making informed selections, and creating mood boards capable of expressing not only a design intervention, but also an atmosphere, a vision, and an imaginative world. The time dedicated to imagination becomes an essential part of the design process.

PROJECTS IN SPACES

SPACES is the phase in which the project takes shape and becomes a tangible presence within space. Here, vision translates into a real, sensory, and livable experience. Conceived as an art gallery, the exhibition path presents projects created using Déco materials, telling stories of original choices, relationships between people and environments, and new ways of inhabiting space. The project is no longer merely a final outcome, but an inspiration for new creative journeys.

The narrative also extends beyond the showroom, transforming the urban space into an open-air gallery: a pathway of vertical panels featuring photographic images of completed projects, designed to make the experience accessible even to passersby, creating continuity between the city, design, and visual storytelling.

With IMAGINE SPACES, Déco strengthens its role as a cultural interlocutor in the world of design, inviting designers, architects, and visitors to reflect on the value of design as a human, creative, and shared process.

At the newly renovated Décoroom showroom, many new products will be on display, including Clap!zer0, the new wood-effect flooring collection that redefines the concept of material realism by eliminating the repetition of knots and grain patterns across surfaces of up to 20 square meters. This solution was developed with the goal of achieving, more than ever before, the authentic aesthetic of natural wood.
