AXYHOTELS have always been much more than simple transit spaces - they are places for meeting, healing, and connecting. This is why InnStyle Milan is the ideal setting to showcase Eirene Islands by Alessia Dionisi.

This year, in addition to the numerous installations at Fuorisalone 2026, a new work is presented to the curiosity of passersby. Embracing the theme of the new edition, "Be a Project", the artist from the Fornace77 creative lab has created an exhibit to engage the viewer beyond mere observation - rather inviting them to live it.

A soft moss footstool and a papier-mâché chandelier create an oasis of tranquility amidst the dynamic pace of the city, offering InnStyle Milan a microcosm that engages with the hotel's architecture.

SPACE OF EXPERIENCE; EXPERIENCE OF AWARENESS

For the Fuorisalone in April 2026, the kaleidoscopic artist Alessia Dionisi will exhibit a new work at AXYHOTELS InnStyle Milan that will continue to change over time.

The Eirene Islands exhibit—as the Greek goddess suggests—creates a peaceful haven where one can reconnect with one's body and with an ever-changing world. Alessia hand-sculpted a bell-shaped papier-mâché chandelier that recalls the archetype of the "artist's hut," intended not as a primordial refuge, but rather as a relational device.

Thanks to a soft footstool made of moss and papier-mâché, guests physically enter the piece of art, transforming a passageway in the hotel into a space of experience and awareness.

Thus, in an era where artificial intelligence is redefining the boundaries of how we design, humans are invited to rediscover the world of craftsmanship. The scent of the forest, textured surfaces, sinuous shapes, and soft hues, alongside White Serenity" by Gianfranco Vozza, a sound composition created specifically for the installation,offer an immersive sensory landscape where we can fully listen and slow down.

As in "Be a Project" at Fuorisalone 2026, the design is a constantly evolving process, Eirene Islands by Alessia Dionisi interprets it as an evolving organism. The relationship between matter, environment, and care is a continuous process - it mutates, reacts, adapts, and lives, just like Spanish moss, which grows, breathes, and transforms over time.
