Designers Alessia Dionisi

Alessia Dionisi is a multifaceted artist and designer who explores the interaction between form, matter, and sensory perception by experimenting with different artistic techniques - from gratage to painting - via her sculptures, compositions, and installations. After studying illustration at Officina B5, Alessia founded the Fornace Association and, together with her partner, master glassmaker Andrea Micheletti, opened the Fornace77 Laboratory - a place of creative research where glass is transformed into unique works through recycled materials.

Alessia’s creative approach is characterized by a unique attention to detail and sustainability, engaging a constant dialogue between natural materials and contemporary techniques. Her collections, often inspired by nature and human workings, tell stories through a distinctive visual language and a sophisticated aesthetic - ideal for spaces that seek a unique and authentic identity.

Throughout her career journey, Alessia has expressed her technique of grattage on glass through significant works such as the mural Through the Out Door for the Warmthotel in Rome, an imposing double mural in scratched glass that details the complexity and dynamics of the Eternal City. Her creations, including sculptures and installations in materials such as alpaca wool and papier-mâché, continue to explore the human body and existential mechanics. Among her most recent projects, La Vetra stands out, a 20-meter mural that combines graffiti and painting on walls and glass to represent the city of Milan in its most intimate essence, alternating modern and historical urban landscapes in a continuous play of perspectives and meanings.Alessia is also a promoter of participatory art, leading creative workshops, and contributing to the art gallery openings. Her research, always innovative, is an invitation to reflect on the connection between art, life, and light to create a deep dialogue with the viewing public.
