Event 2026

Keep Your Bubble / SuperPlayground

During Milan Design Week, Slovak visual artist Lousy Auber will present Keep Your Bubble, a large-scale immersive installation at Superstudio in Milan. Created from recycled hot-air balloon envelopes, the installation consists of horizontally positioned, interconnected balloon forms suspended within the space. Visitors enter the work through a single opening in the first structure and move freely inside the continuous interior, experiencing the installation from within rather than as external observers. Keep Your Bubble explores the relationship between personal and collective space through physical presence, movement, and shared proximity, transforming a material originally designed for flight into an architectural environment for human interaction.

Rather than offering a fixed interpretation, Keep Your Bubble is conceived as an open spatial experience shaped by the visitor’s own presence and perception. Auber’s work focuses on creating environments that can be physically entered and intuitively felt, without explanatory narratives or imposed meanings. The installation invites a sense of calm, closeness, and comfort, allowing visitors to experience the space in a personal and unmediated way. The work operates through atmosphere and physical presence, encouraging individual reflection and emotional response, with each visitor forming their own interpretation based on their lived experience.
