Imballaggi Protettivi is an Italian company that has been processing polypropylene since 1994 and has now become the European leader in the production of honeycomb sheets for different markets and applications.

IP is constantly involved in developing new applications and while looking for different solutions in the various industries in which it operates (industrial packaging, automotive interiors, visual communication, building and general purpose), by leveraging the availability of sophisticated, technologically cutting-edge machinery, and capitalising on customer loyalty.

We have recently developed a new material for the Furniture and Design market: IP Decor. The innovative polypropylene honeycomb panel designed as a high-performance, lightweight alternative to wood in the furniture and interior design sector.

The material properties and technical features of IP Decor make it an excellent alternative to traditional wood and aluminum-based panels. They provide extreme durability and high resistance to scratches, corrosion, heat, moisture and water.

The characteristic lightness of IP Decor offers processing flexibility similar to wood, but with the advantages of plastic (such as thermal welding). It also simplifies the assembling process and results in a significant reduction in handling costs.

IP Decor contains recycled polypropylene and the 100% PP version is fully recyclable at the end of its life being manufactured without adhesives.

IP Decor is formaldehyde-free (VOC-free), confirming its sustainable and environmentally friendly character. In addition, its light weight helps reducing CO2 emissions during transportation.
