DOPIR
Touching Material, Space and Form
Born in Bulgaria. Presented in Milan. Experienced through touch.
DOPIR is a collective Bulgarian design project bringing together object designers, an artist, an architect and a photographer in a shared exploration of material and perception.
At its core, the project explores touch as the first point of connection — between object and body, material and space, function and emotion. Through the use of wood, metal, resin and spatial composition, design is revealed as an evolving, sensory process rather than a static outcome.
Each work encourages proximity, presence and awareness, transforming the viewer into an active participant. The audience does not simply experience the exhibition — it completes it, engaging physically and emotionally with the objects and environment.
The project brings together works by Kaloyan Vasilev, Nikyoto, Mariela Ganova, Marta Moskov, Atanas Zgurev, Tzvetan Petkov, Gabriel Best, LIGNA x OURHOOD, Room Studio, Renatta and Solar Punk Studio alongside a spatial installation that connects the different disciplines into a unified narrative.
More than an exhibition, DOPIR is a living environment where objects, artworks and visitors coexist and interact. It reflects the strength of independent Bulgarian creative practices, fostering collaboration, visibility and cultural exchange on an international stage.
