Brands Soft Interfaces

Soft Interfaces, founded by engineer Tessa van Abkoude, is a research platform exploring sensors and actuators integrated into soft materials to create interactive interfaces. Developed as an open-source initiative, it shares experiments and fabrication methods, fostering collaboration between designers, researchers, and engineers. The platform presents engineered soft materials developed at the Materials Aesthetics Lab of the Tu/e in the Netherlands, highlighting their potential and future applications. These responsive materials envision a future where intelligent, adaptable materials are embedded in everyday objects - from car interiors and home textiles to wearables and furniture - enabling new interactive experiences.
