Brands Caffè Borbone
Founded in Naples in 1999 as a small roasting company rooted in the tradition of Neapolitan coffee, Caffè Borbone quickly grew to become one of the leading producers of single-serve coffee pods and capsules. It represents a model case of growth, driven in part by continuous investment in Research & Development, which has led to the creation of innovative, high-quality products that have gradually won over increasingly environmentally conscious consumers. In fact, it was the first company in Italy to introduce a compostable coffee pod which, when disposed of with organic waste, can be used to produce compost, with packaging that can be recycled with paper. It later launched a compostable biopolymer capsule with a paper filter top. Since 2018, Caffè Borbone has been controlled by Italmobiliare, which acquired a 60% stake in the company, while the remaining 40% is still held by its founder, Massimo Renda.
