Designers Alessandro Galbiati

My path stems from an artistic and design-oriented education: after attending an art high school, I continued my studies in architecture, developing a keen sensitivity to space, proportions, and the way people inhabit environments. I do not define myself strictly as a designer, but rather as someone who observes, interprets, and translates needs and sensations into objects and atmospheres.

My approach to design is grounded in a clear principle: simplicity as a strength. I favor clean, essential lines, the result of a process of subtraction aimed at removing the superfluous to make room for what is truly necessary. Within this balance between form and function, I seek a language that is discreet yet meaningful, capable of enduring over time.

My architectural background deeply influences this way of designing: every object is conceived as part of a larger whole, in relation to the space and the people who inhabit it. I am interested in creating elements that are not only functional, but also capable of generating a sense of warmth, calm, and balance.

What guides me is the idea that design can contribute to improving the quality of everyday time. For this reason, I strive to shape objects that invite people to slow down and live more consciously, enhancing simple moments, both shared and personal.

“Subtract to enhance: simplicity as the most authentic form of design.”
