Designers ALEKSANDAR PETKOV

Aleksandar Petkov  graduates from the
Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna in 2020
and earns his Master’s degree in Painting
in 2023.
The artist creates sculptures based on both
drawings and personal experiences; the
solid forms Petkov develops emerge from
a long process of reworking past studies,
engaging with themes such as memory,
evocation, and oblivion.
His use of concrete, pigments, flour, and
plastic— materials typically unsuitable
for sculpture—gives the artworks a
character that shifts between the
processual and the unexpected.
