EUmies Awards 2026 / Mies van der Rohe

On the 140th anniversary of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe’s birth, the award named in his honor returns to Milan after a decade with an exhibition of the 40 finalist projects for the 2026 EUmies Awards. Photographs, videos, models, and pictograms accompany the presentation of the works, illustrating the design choices, the relationship with the landscape, and the possibilities opened up by reuse.
At the heart of the exhibition lies a shared question: How can we create quality by transforming what already exists, fostering a dialogue between the original work and the new uses and sensibilities of the present?
