On December 8, 2024, after 52 years of anticipation, the dream of the Great Brera will finally be realized with the opening of Palazzo Citterio to the public. This podcast series delves into the history of Milan's Pinacoteca di Brera, unfolding through iconic places, masterpieces, and historical figures. The journey begins with the Pantheon in the Courtyard of Honour, then explores the statue of Napoleon, as well as prominent female figures such as art critic Fernanda Wittgens and mathematician Gaetana Agnesi. The series concludes with the opening of Palazzo Citterio as a new exhibition space for 20th-century art, which welcomed 11,540 visitors in its first month alone.
