Jumbo Group

Jumbo Group operates in the Italian luxury furniture and interior design field.

Since 1985, founding of Jumbo Collection brand dedicated to the creation of precious classic style furnishings, Jumbo Group has expanded over time by adding new lines, up to date with the latest trends. In 2012, the license for the production of Roberto Cavalli Home Interiors line was acquired - a collection distinguished by a sensual and distinctive glamour. In 2014, the license of Gianfranco Ferré Home joined the Group: the brand inherits the style of the fashion house in a perfect combination of contemporary elements, metropolitan charm and vintage references. JCP Universe, Jumbo Group's experimental brand, was born in March 2016, giving life to a collection that blurs the lines between art and design. In September 2017, the Group expanded further with the ETRO Home Interiors line, in which furnishings with exotic allure, inspired by the theme of travel and faraway cultures come to life thanks to iconic fabrics and evocative materials.

Strengths in common across all brands are the high quality of materials and workmanship, attention to detail and passion for craftsmanship, cornerstones of the most authentic Made in Italy tradition. Together with the ability to innovate, experiment and dare on several fronts, they define the versatility of a multifaceted offer that embraces different styles, from classic to contemporary.

Milan and its role for design
_

Milan is globally recognized as the capital of design, and for good reasons. It plays a very important role for design, as it is demonstrated by the Salone del Mobile. The well-known fair, with its ability to attract audiences from all over the world, is for us every year an important opportunity to present our new collections. Milan is also a cosmopolitan city, where innovation and tradition find a meeting point: an efficient synthesis, that also Jumbo Group tries to pursue, combining the know-how of the Brianza Design District with change and experimentation.

How is the commercial space changing and how did you design the exhibition space?
_

Our showrooms are the best place to discover Jumbo Group's collections. All the brands of the group, with their different souls and facets, find their space in our three floors flagship store in Milan. Another important exhibition space for us is the one in our headquarters in Cantù, renovated a few years ago to present us in the best possible way to our visitors, who find themselves immersed in the Jumbo Group world since their entry into the company. Starting this year, both showrooms can be visited virtually, giving everyone the chance to discover our spaces.

How do you think the digital media can offer support to physical events?
_

Digital media have an increasingly important role, and can promote and enrich the physical event. New technologies allow companies to reach a wide audience with ease, and the occasions to meet clients are multiplying. However, the physical event still has its value, and enables the visitors to live experiences that would be difficult to replicate digitally. Finally, we shouldn’t forget that in our sector it is also important to see and test the product live.

What are the new products you are presenting in 2020?
_

Waiting for the Salone del Mobile 2021, a selection of pieces has anticipated our collections through a special preview, unveiled in the occasion of Milan Design City. For each brand we thought of a representative living room that reveals moods and atmospheres of the new spaces, with the exception of JCP Universe, the group's most experimental brand. All the novelties of its alternative universe were presented with the evocative exhibition Another Nature, an installation of otherworldly inspiration curated by CTRLZAK with the aim of drawing attention to the interaction between man and nature.
