Designer Amirhossein Ahmadnia

Amirhossein Ahmadnia is a postdoctoral researcher in Building Technology (ICAR/12) at the Department of Architecture, Built Environment, and Construction Engineering (DABC) at Politecnico di Milano. His work focuses on computational design, digital fabrication, and lightweight structural systems, with an emphasis on translating data-driven computational methods into high-performance material-based systems. Amir’s academic journey includes a year as a guest researcher at TU Delft’s Faculty of Civil and Geosciences and a pre-doctoral research period at the Stuckeman Center for Design Computing at Penn State. His research also extends to artificial intelligence, including geometric deep learning for monocular 3D reconstruction and synthetic data generation pipelines. As an educator, Amir has taught courses in computational design and parametric modeling at Politecnico di Milano and TU Delft, focusing on digital fabrication, structural optimization, and innovative design solutions.
