2021 STUDIOART LEATHERWALL AND LEATHER COLLECTIONS: TAKING SURFACES TO A DIFFERENT TEXTURE

Leatherwall: a celebration of textured surfaces

Behind all the introductions of the new palettes and treatments, there were the keywords for 2021 “Colour and Textures”, proposed as a way to brighten up interiors. The recent
need to balance personal and working life in a unique environment has put lot of attention on the decoration materials that have to be versatile, elegant yet functional. Specialty
leathers have also been designed to give a twist to the traditional concept of leather for upholstery. Original designs and charming colours have been added to make the collection
even more appealing and easily adaptable to various interiors.

For the 2021 collection, textured surfaces are the fil rouge behind all Studioart leatherwall proposals. Iconic products have been designed with a new appeal: new treatments on leathers are
combined with existing tiles to create fresh and captivating proposals for the interior design industry.
The combination of different textures gives a different approach to the wall covering: matt, velour, metals, sparkling leathers are all an invitation to touch the surface taking the wall
decoration from the visually beautiful decorative element to the love for leather and its textured materials.
Different tile sizes and combinations enhance the decorative potential of surfaces in many different ways. The small tiles in Mosaico represent the know-how and the handicraft
manufacturing while enriching walls with elegant chiaroscuro effects; whereas larger tiles in Pattern 6 are ideal for natural leather lovers where the dimension of the tile give the
possibility to appreciate the beauty of naked or vintage leathers.

Squares, rectangles and trapezia, instead, are wisely combined with specialty leathers carefully crafted to create movement and original effects on the surface.
DUO, designed by Massimo Brancati, is realised with two layers of different leathers that result in fascinating triangular geometries cut on the surface. The coupling of matt and
suede leathers enriches the surface and creates captivating sparkling and matt, or contrasting colour, effects.
Designed by Grove Studio, Ryder is all about textures: matt and velour leathers are combined together and spaced out with metal inserts to add original light accents while
creating evocative walls full of charm and refinement.
The result is a range of eclectic wall coverings, where the different leathers and tile directions, make walls stand out for their fascinating designs and textures.
