A diversified society is a world where new values are nurtured as a result of different aspects meeting and resonating. CHROMASHINE ® , Toyo Aluminium’s pigment where countless colors can be
seen, is an embodiment of such a world. This installation is an object inspired by a vortex, coated with CHROMASHINE ® pigment. When two qualitatively different states come into contact in nature a vortex is formed. In other words, it may visualize the process where different things meet and fuse together to create new values. By multiplying a vortex with a pigment that shows various colors depending on the viewing angle, a rich and diversified world is drawn. Concept and design by Toshiya Hayashi and Hokuto Ando of we+, a Tokyo based design studio.
