Spazio Cabron DAAA Haus
DAAA Haus is a multidisciplinary design and architecture studio with offices in Malta, Milan, Ragusa and Mumbai, founded in 2009 by creative director Keith Pillow.
On the occasion of Milan Design Week, Billiani and DAAA Haus are announcing an exclusive partnership. A selection of Billiani products will be on permanent display as an integral part of the studio.
The collection is a masterful lesson in “playful deconstruction”, a distinctive trait of DAAA Haus. Using the skilled craftsmanship and classic silhouettes of Billiani as a starting point, DAAA Haus studio manager Daniel Cassar and his team reinterpreted the products from the viewpoint of global street fashion, turning them into sculptural objects designed to tell a story made up of volumes, light and transparency.
The selected products are the generously proportioned upholstered furniture Bold, designed by Studio Pastina, the Marcel small table in glass and metal designed by Kazuhide Takahama, the Harry’s chairs designed by Luigi Billiani – reminiscent of the chairs traditionally produced by the historic chair manufacturing district known as the “Triangle”, but with the Mediterranean touch of hand-woven cord, the W. chair designed by Fabrizio Gallinaro, of the unmistakable back with its curved horizontal rail and spindles inserted into the seat and the Puccio bench, designed by Emilio Nanni, part of the Puccio collection in which the original milkmaid’s stool has been transformed into a modern, linear chair.
