Designers Luca Medioli

Luca Medioli M.Arch completed his Bachelors in Politecnico di Torino and obtained his Master of Science in Architcture at Politecnico di Milano. Alongside to his professional activity as Associate Architect at Studio Zoppini Architetti in Milano, he continues to collaborate with the Department of Architecture, Built Environment and Construction Engineering of Politecnico di Milano as academic tutor to Professors Alessandra Zanelli and Martin Tamke for the master’s degree design course “Advanced Design Studio”.

His master thesis “The lightness of form”, currently under review to obtain an international patent, explores and proposes a way to produce, transport and deploy a self-sufficient modular canopy system to be used both in ordinary and emergency scenarios.

His professional and research interests focus on the topics of lightweightness and tensile canopy systems capable to cover large spans, in particular applied to spaces and infrastructures for the collectivity as stadiums and arenas for sports and concerts.
