Designers Elena Brovelli
Elena Brovelli is an Italian artist working at the intersection of art and design, whose research is distinguished by the introduction of tensioned textile surfaces as spatial elements.
Her interventions, defined as Portals, function as perceptual thresholds that establish a direct relationship with architecture, overcoming the distinction between object and environment.
Her practice focuses on the transformation of matter through a manual process that combines gesture, tension, and formal control, shifting from representation to spatial activation.
Her work is increasingly developed within design-driven contexts and interdisciplinary collaborations, engaging with leading brands and institutions across design, luxury, and culture. Recent projects include collaborations with Porsche, SAG’80, and Milano Unica, as well as site-specific interventions within hospitality environments such as Amedia Hotel Milano – Trademark Collection by Wyndham, where her Portals have been integrated as part of the spatial identity.
In parallel, her research has entered a broader cultural dialogue through collaborations with foundations and curated projects, reinforcing a positioning that moves fluidly between artistic practice and spatial design.
Her work introduces a new way of relating surface and space, where tension becomes an active principle of spatial configuration and a tool for transforming perception.
