On the occasion of Milano Design City, Fuorisalone started on 12th April for the second consecutive year in a digital version in compliance with health and safety regulations. An event full of product previews, round tables, virtual events, webinars and much more. April is a necessary and central moment in the business life of furniture design companies, central to the timing of promotion and management of orders and production. As promoters of the appointments that animate the event, Fuorisalone's gaze is projected towards the challenges of the future, with the hope and wish to return as soon as possible to the city of Milan and the cultural world of design events in presence in the post COVID-19.
Milan Fuorisalone confirmed for September 2021: Preparations continue in support of Milan, international design capital
In recent days, the Italian government has further clarified its strategy for combating Covid-19 in the weeks to come, and the Italian and international design communities remains hopeful that it will be possible to hold the 60th edition of the Salone del Mobile in September as previously announced.
In the meantime, the Milan Fuorisalone, represented by a broad group of organisations whose activities have contributed to earn Milan the title of design capital and international point of reference, is pleased to confirm that its activities in and around the city of Milan will go ahead from the 5th to the 10th of September as planned, in full compliance with all precautionary measures necessary to safeguard the health of participants and the public. In this profoundly challenging moment, without precedent in recent times, there is an urgent need to begin the reconstruction of collaborative relationships beyond the national borders that have constrained us for so many months. The members of this group see this special edition as an opportunity to build an even more engaging, dynamic, sustainable and inclusive Fuorisalone which will offer new and muchneeded opportunities to companies in the sector; it is the hope of this group that by clarifying its position, it will encourage other exponents of the sector to follow its lead and commit to the realization of the Fuorisalone 2021 with renewed energy and determination, symbolising the determination to make design a driver of Milan’s reopening to the world.
