A talk with Gino Garbellini

Gino Garbellini is the author of the Onda Bianca, the name with which the citizens have renamed the iconic building in Piazza Gae Aulenti. The rigorous design reminiscent of 19th-century elements is accompanied by an open and welcoming façade to the outside. According to Garbellini, it is the people who have given the place a soul: the building is in fact continually influenced by the interaction of the citizens, who have made it an integral and natural part of the area, as if it had always existed.
