Once a year, design is celebrated across Croatia’s capital at dozens of locations, featuring numerous exhibitions, lectures, panel discussions, workshops, fashion shows, film screenings and, of course, parties. Zagreb Design Week showcases all fields of design, ranging from furniture and fashion to digital, graphic, food and automotive design. Each year, a different theme takes centre stage, alongside a featured partner country. One of the festival's highlights is the ZGDW Award, an international design accolade that includes an exhibition of the finalists and an official prize-giving ceremony. As Croatia's only design festival, it launched in 2014. In recent years, it has hosted over 300 participants and attracted more than 25,000 visitors.
