ICA Milano presents "Cheerfully Optimistic About the Future"
Fondazione Ica Milano presents the exhibition Cheerfully Optimistic About the Future, first solo show in Italy by Michael Anastassiades (Cyprus, 1967).
The practice of London based designer Michael Anastassiades, explores contemporary notions of culture and aesthetics through a combination of disciplines such as product design, furniture and environmental design, often transcending distinctions between different areas of creativity.
The creation of the exhibition, curated by Alberto Salvadori and developed by the studio of Anastassiades during the last year, was accompanied by the desire to build a project with a strong "hand-made" component in the realization of the work, involving in first person the artist.
