Brands Acqua Lambro
Acqua Lambro is an artistic project that develops around “an impossible idea”: transforming the water of the Lambro, one of the most polluted rivers in Europe, into a prestigious mineral water. Speculative design and environmental activism meet in a utopic and situationist work of art.
A provocative action to reconnect Milan to the Lambro, bringing to light the relationship of mutual care between the city and its river, and together the fruit of a co-creation process proposed by the Irish artists gethan&myles as part of the PALIMPSEST project.
Funded by Horizon EU, PALIMPSEST works on the (re)generation of sustainable practices in landscapes of high cultural value, which are facing significant environmental challenges. In doing so, co-creation experiments are developed that involve creative actors, public bodies, researchers and civil society. The project intends to bring artistic and creative actions into dialogue with the specific needs of the territories, to imagine new scenarios and experiment with innovative practices that connect human actions, landscape heritage and sustainability objectives.
