MCZ: INNOVATION, TECHNOLOGY, SUSTAINABILITY, DESIGN.
MCZ, the Group’s leading brand, is renowned for its cutting-edge pellet and wood-burning stoves and fireplaces, based on four fundamental pillars: Innovation, Technology, Sustainability and Design. Starting from January 2025, the brand is undergoing an important strategic evolution by entering the HVAC sector, expanding its offer with integrated solutions for heating and cooling. This new setup will allow MCZ to offer hybrid systems that are 100% Made in Italy, powered exclusively by renewable sources, combining biomass generators and heat pumps. While maintaining its leadership in the biomass sector, MCZ is establishing itself as a new reference point in HVAC, offering integrated solutions for sustainable and innovative climatic comfort.
TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION
In the early 2000s, MCZ was one of the first companies to introduce pellet products to the market. They have always invested in research and development, introducing revolutionary technologies in the heating sector, such as:
• Active: an intelligent technology that allows a product to adapt to any type of pellet and to work remotely via smartphone or tablet.
• Comfort Air: a ducting system up to 8 metres that allows several rooms to be heated using a single product.
• Maestro+: an operating system that dialogues with the smartphone, further improves the performances of the pellet stove and allows remote diagnostics and assistance.
• Core: launched in 2020 and protected by three patents, this technology optimizes combustion from different points of view: beauty of a spectacular flame, clean glass, minimized stove cleaning, and an emissions reduction by 40% compared to the strictest European regulations.
• Free: the technology that allows the pellet stove to work properly even in the event of a blackout, with an autonomy lasting up to 4 hours.
COMMITMENT TO ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY
MCZ places a strong emphasis on environmental sustainability. The company is aware of the crucial role it plays in preserving the environment and reducing the environmental impact of its products. The innovative technologies developed by MCZ are not only state-of-the-art in terms of performance and design, but are also designed to maximise energy efficiency and reduce emissions. An example of this is the Core technology. But that’s not all: MCZ is actively committed to obtaining and maintaining the most important environmental and sustainability certifications. Its products are certified according to strict standards, ensuring that they meet high levels of energy efficiency and emission reduction.
DESIGN EXCELLENCE
MCZ has distinguished itself over the years for its strong sensibility for aesthetics and design, introducing a minimal, Nordic style in the field of pellet and wood heating. In 2011, the Toba stove by MCZ received the IF Design Award, a major recognition which highlights the company’s commitment to satisfying an increasingly demanding consumer also in terms of design for heating products. Moreover, in 2019 MCZ collaborated with important names in international design, such as Patricia Urquiola, Paola Navone and Michael Geldmacher, who offered an alternative and original way of interpreting the fire theme. MCZ continues to be at the forefront of both environmental sustainability and design in the heating sector, as demonstrated by the awards it has received: it won the BePOSITIVE Award with the Core technology (an award that is given to companies that stand out for their sustainable practices and products in the heating and energy efficiency sector) and the Archiproducts Award with Mako (an international award that is given to the best design and architecture products).
MCZ’s ongoing commitment is to be not only a leader in the domestic heating sector, but also an example of environmental sustainability. The company continues to combine innovative technologies with refined design to offer high-quality heating solutions that meet the needs of discerning customers worldwide.
