Has opened its doors the second edition of The Glitch Camp, the IED's free urban Camp designed for students from all over the world during the Milan Design Week. Thanks to the collaboration with the Municipality of Milan and Milanosport, the Istituto Europeo di Design has helped make the Salone del Mobile week accessible - for the second year - to as many young people as possible. However, The Glitch Camp is not only an opportunity for the international student community to connect, but also a networking opportunity among the cultural actors of the Fuorisalone. In cultural partnership with BASE, this edition of The Glitch Camp will also host young designers on the terrace of the Cultural Centre in Via Tortona.

In the large football field of the “Enrico Cappelli” Sports Centre, managed by Milanosport SSD S.p.A., the glitchers will benefit from a camp equipped with Ferrino tents - specifically designed for outdoor activities such as trekking and camping. Each tent will be supplied with a set of IKEA products, designed to ensure a comfortable night's sleep and allow visitors to make the most of the busy days spent visiting the Fuorisalone. The Camp will be illuminated by Bosch lamps, with which the company wants to figuratively "ignite the spark of creativity". This will be done by shining a spotlight on the innovative ideas of future designers.

Based on a proposal by the Francesco Morelli Foundation, IED has enhanced the free camping option with the public programme Designing Togetherness. This will offer an extensive schedule of events and live performances open to the public aimed at providing a culturally stimulating experience during Camp. The design of the public programme and common areas was carried out by the School of Master of Arts IED Milano, which interpreted the approach of DesignXCommons, integrating it to the Second Level Academic Diploma (DASL) courses.
