From 12 to 15 February 2026, Courmayeur becomes a shared landscape of design, architecture and visions

From 12 to 15 February 2026, Courmayeur once again becomes a widespread laboratory, suspended between snow and design. The new edition of Courmayeur Design Week-end, at the foot of Mont Blanc, presents a collective narrative that weaves together design, architecture and the Alpine landscape.
The chosen theme, Love & Passions, runs through the entire event in a more conceptual than sentimental way. It is an invitation to reflect on the deep connection between design and desire, between creative gesture and responsibility. Leftloft translates this vision into a visual system made of 45 words of love for design, which become graphic signs, storytelling elements and generative material, reaching as far as the Dolonne cable cars, transformed into moving posters. The heart of the event beats at altitude, with talks and meetings that take design literally to the summit, before descending into the urban fabric of Courmayeur, occupying squares, churches, restored spaces and symbolic places.

Among the most anticipated moments, the dialogue between Giulio Cappellini and Giulio Iacchetti takes shape in a clearly personal exhibition, The Objects of the Heart. Nearby, the project by Gino Garbellini and Michele Rossi, partners at PIUARCH and PARK respectively, reinterprets the idea of seating as a shared space, while the installations spread throughout the town - from benches to temporary architectures - invite visitors to stop, observe and meet.
In Piazza Abbé Henry, Lombardini22 creates an open-air urban living room that interprets design as a space for relationships and hospitality, in direct dialogue with the Alpine landscape. At the Jardin de l’Ange, Matteo Ragni introduces a playful and participatory dimension, turning the theme of love into a physical experience made of attraction, distance and play. The journey concludes with the intervention by Carlo Ratti Associati, reflecting on the value of interaction as an essential condition of contemporary design, connecting light, space and human behavior.

Lighting, designed by Davide Groppi, accompanies and unifies the entire narrative, while the dialogue with the Alpine landscape remains constant: the mountain is not a backdrop, but an active part of the project. Courmayeur thus confirms itself as a place capable of welcoming design without losing its identity, maintaining an intimate, almost domestic dimension, far from the logic of large trade fairs. Design Week-end is not just an event, but a temporary community that comes together year after year to question what it means to design today.
