From 9 to 18 October, the seventeenth edition unfolds across Venice, bringing together 80 international brands and designers
How much craftsmanship goes into an object? How much technology, research, experimentation or tradition? And how much do production processes and sustainability choices matter? Venice Design Week returns from 9 to 18 October 2026 and, for its seventeenth edition, takes “100%” as its theme, shifting the focus from the final outcome to everything that contributes to shaping a project. This approach will take tangible form in the data maps accompanying the products on display. Brands and designers will translate the different components of their work into percentages, making visible balances that are not always immediately apparent: technology and craftsmanship, tradition and experimentation, creative intuition and research, as well as the extent of transformation and the complexity of production processes.

The same approach can extend to the product’s entire life cycle, highlighting aspects such as reuse, repairability, disassembly and recycling, the reduction of environmental impact in production processes, and the selection of materials and technologies according to circular economy principles. Percentages thus become a tool for understanding not only the product itself, but also how it was conceived and the choices that determined its form and meaning. The 2026 edition brings together 80 international brands and designers from more than twenty countries, alongside 20 local designers. The selections span Light Design, Interior Design Accessories, Tableware and Jewelry Design. Throughout the week, meetings with the designers will offer an opportunity to explore the processes behind the design and making of the products, alongside exhibitions, installations, talks, conferences and guided tours.

Once again, Venice Design Week retains its city-wide format, creating an itinerary across different locations in Venice. The main venues include IUAV - Terese, The HuB - Human Bits & Fablab, the Museo d’Arte Orientale di Venezia, Palazzo Nani, Combo Venezia, Libreria Giovanni - Fondazione Querini Stampalia, Etnia House of Arts, Palazzo Pisani Revedin and Palazzo Pisani Santa Marina. Guided tours will also offer the chance to discover places beyond the city’s usual tourist routes, bringing contemporary design into dialogue with different contexts across Venice. The 2026 edition is developed in synergy with Università IUAV di Venezia and the city’s institutions, and will conclude on 18 October with the European Product Design Award ceremony.
